#151: How HR Can Create More Inclusive Work Environments w/ Risha Grant
Feb 27, 2020 Season 1 Episode 151
The HR Gazette

In this HRchat episode, we chat with Risha Grant, a D&I consultant of 20+ years, speaker, and author of the book “That’s BS! How Bias Synapse Disrupts Inclusive Cultures and the Power to Attract Diverse Markets.”

Listen as we discuss how to move towards more inclusive work environments and the role of HR and leaders in making it happen.

Risha is self-described as a small-town girl, ex-preacher’s wife, bisexual and African American. The cards of predictive jeers couldn’t be stacked any higher against her. Yet, having been reared in the most conservative state in the nation — Oklahoma, where not one county voted for Barack Obama in 2008 — she’s learned to recognize her own “BS” which stands for Bias Synapses. Now, she helps others to understand and acknowledge their own BS!
